Peter Leitl, born in Nußdorf am Haunsberg in Salzburg, completed an apprenticeship with distinction as a carpenter in 1998. After completing the apprenticeship, the evening school leaving examination was completed in addition to working as a postman and the military service. In 2002 he started studying mechanical engineering, energy and environmental technology.
2004 – 2006 additional lectures in astrophysics were held at the Karl Franzes University in Graz. He was also responsible for aerodynamics in the TU Graz Racing Team between 2006 and 2008.
In 2008, bionic surface technologies was found together with Andreas Flanschger, who was also a member of the TU Graz Racing Team.
In 2009 he graduated with distinction in mechanical engineering with specialization in fluid mechanics and numerics.
In 2017 he enrolled in the process engineering course with a specialization in paper and pulp engineering at the Graz University of Technology, which was completed on January 15th, 2020.
